The World Axe Throwing Professional League (WATL Pro League) has announced its top competitors for the 2023 season. This qualifying system recognizes the best in the sport of standard hatchet throwing. At the end of the league season, the top 24 Pros, based on leaderboard position, will earn a bid to the 2023 World Axe Throwing Championship (WATC).
To secure a Pro Bid, throwers must have attempted at least 50% of the season’s kill shots (28). If there are already bid holders in the top 24 finishers, the remaining bids will trickle down. It’s important to note that Pro Status does not carry forward beyond the current season, and throwers must re-qualify every year.
